Camera Calibration: Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Windshield Calibration: Vehicles that have lane departure or lane-keep assist will have a camera, once a vehicle has had a windshield replacement the camera needs to have calibration to realign the camera to accurately read the lanes on the road.
There are two different types of calibrations.
- Static Calibration: Happens on a stationary vehicle in a specialized using specialized equipment to realign each feature to its original settings from before the replacement is done.
- Dynamic Calibration: Takes place with the vehicle is moving, once the car reaches a certain speed limit it will readjust to its environment. This calibration will ensure that your vehicle will be centered in its lane.
